Notes

Profile servers (Topps) frustrated with finding common places for vocab to create profiles (works with Meiselman)

Federated servers - University of Calgary

Fritz Ray - databased way to capture learning and performance data and capture those to see if learning is effective - learning and performance profiles to compare

Fridolin - continuing to link initiatives, driving forward AR vocabularies

Folks signed up for various small group topic meetings

Presentation:

What are xAPI Profiles -

Machine readable will get a lot easier - is all JSON LD (linked data)

Value is - it can autogenerate for you (autofilled)

We will focus on the human side

Understanding language behind the must dos, should do, etc

Like minded in how xAPI profiles will be expressed

Questions:

  • Jonathan Poltrack3:29 PM what events are relevant to track?

  • David Topps3:29 PM The challenge we have found is that our application is used in such a wide range of contexts that we cannot use a top down approach to deciding this

  • Fritz Ray3:30 PM How does a profile meet a particular requirement?

  • TLA-WG Admin3:31 PM how will profiles be baked into authoring environments?

David’s question: Top down approach was not working for their group - they had too great a range of contexts.  Education vs training

Topic squad participation:  help with some of the topics for more distributed participation
